Is it our perception that changes or was it always as it is now? Every year in the weeks before Christmas, advent time, I hope to find the spirit of Christmas as I remember from my childhood - the peacefulness, a time of reflecting, listening to and singing Christmas songs, time to spend with loved ones... Instead, I find people rushing through the city and into the Christmas markets; faceless shadows, disappearing fast. With the idea of capturing the Christmas mood and wonderful colourful scenes, I left the house with my camera. However, again I found myself in busy and commercial places; missing the calmed down and special mood. This resulted in the inception of my series – faceless
